Matt May is Adobe’s head of inclusive design. His work includes integrating more equitable design practices across every aspect of the Adobe user experience, training and mentoring the Adobe Design team, and advocating principles of accessibility and inclusive design to the public at large. He lives in Seattle.
Erin Hawley is a writer, gamer, vlogger, and freelance accessibility consultant. She has worked with Microsoft on the Xbox Adaptive Controller, as well as Logitech, EA Games, Adobe, and other companies to ensure their products and messaging are inclusive. Joel Ward has over 20 years of experience in technology design, development, and management. He currently works for Booz Allen Hamilton as a Technology Specialist and AR Product Manager, where he focuses on immersive technologies like augmented and mixed reality and devices like the Microsoft HoloLens and Oculus Quest. He also leads the Hardware Devices group for the XR Access initiative, a community organization that is driving accessibility into the XR world.
How do I get into the event?
You will receive an email with a Zoom meeting link one hour before the event begins. For the best experience, we recommend using your desktop computer for this event. Please be sure to download the Zoom app to your computer before the event begins. Watch this video on how to connect to Zoom if you need a tutorial.
Who can attend this virtual event?
This free virtual event is open to anyone who registers to attend.
Do I have to be on video during the event?
You are not required to have your video camera on during the event. We encourage all participants to be on camera during the breakout sessions on Day 2 to enhance the experience.
Will there be an ASL Interpreter and closed captioning during the event?
Yes, we will have an ASL Interpreter and closed captioning through out the entire event and in breakout sessions. Please let us know in the registration form if you require further accommodations.

Yes! The symposium XR hardware, software and content demos will be announced soon! If your company or group would like to give a virtual demo at the symposium, please contact us at info@xraccess.org.
Will this be recorded?
Yes! We highly recommend attending the virtual event itself so that you can participate and ask questions. However, you can also watch a replay once the event is over. We’ll send registrants a link to the video afterward.
